I have finally begun to sort and gather the pictures we took in the Dominican Republic on our February 2014 trip with the idea that I would post them here on the site. We took these pictures with absolutely no clue that a short time later we would be called to make an international move and serve in the area ourselves. I am posting a small selection, in a few different albums, only to simplify their arrangement. By clicking on any of the respective buttons below, you can visit the associated gallery and see the pictures contained therein. Feel free to click, save, or share these pictures on your favorite social media sites....and if you'd like a full resolution version of one just let me know. To save hosting space, I've dropped the resolution - but I can email any of them that you'd like. We're happy to share!

Villa Gonzalez 2014
First up is an album containing pictures from a couple of different days at Villa González in 2014. We had such an absolute blast meeting and getting to know our sponsored children, as well as helping out a little with the new school project. Click the image above to see more pictures.
On the day featured in this album, we visited a local school in Santiago. Kristi again presented a Bible story to these children, and we were able to hang out and chat a little bit with them. I have to admit they had a great deal of good-hearted fun with our feeble attempts at Spanish.
La Yagüita de Pastor
After attending church in Villa González on Sunday, we had the opportunity to visit La Yagüita de Pastor (a community that has been the beneficiary of ministries we've worked with in the past) to meet some of our previously-sponsored children. I had this opportunity in 2013 as well, but it was a wonderful experience to be able to bring Kristi down in 2014 and get to know them.
Finally, we had most of a day to enjoy some time at one of the Dominican Republic's beaches. We visited Puerto Plata on the northern coast for lunch and some relaxation at the water. Sitting by the crystal clear water and watching the planes take off/land at a nearby airport....it doesn't get much better than that! I understand there is some great diving and snorkeling right offshore, but we didn't come prepared for that. Since moving, I can verify that understanding....
